The way I got into tech was through conferences, not as an attendee but as a volunteer. What’s interesting about conferences is that the people there who are truly getting shit done, show up for the one thing they need and then leave as fast as possible. Aside from hackathons, everything else is just a vacation.

Going volunteer must’ve meant you genuinely wanted to learn stuff. I’ve had interest in tech for the longest time now but it’s been overwhelming. Been learning how to design mini apps lately and tbh it’s been going great. You seem like you’re into coding too

That’s awesome! Just keep at it, and yeah I love to code now, when I got into tech I barely understood why there was more than one type of equal operator. The sky is the limit

I’ll do my best🫡 Oh lol…good to know you’ve gotten a hang of it now…I just wish there was tips on how to understand coding better. I’m guessing you’ve been into tech for a long time now, was it a roller coaster for you at first or were you a really fast learner? The sky is the limit indeed

Learning is just a muscle, the more thoughtfully you practice it the stronger it becomes and as many other forms of training, consistency compounds your gains I sucked at code and I rarely have gotten a chance to focus on it as I was always required to put my skills into other roles more. I’ll do a post on learning one of these days, but to start learning something new I prefer to use a brute force approach until I’ve got muscle memory on the core primitives/concepts. No real tricks, just do the grunt work everyone tried to avoid, if there is a trick it’s to leverage placebo and do that grunt work with enthusiasm

Well that makes sense. I’d say my major challenge is consistency, I find it really difficult balancing everything I gotta do in 24 hours. I’m definitely gonna practice more now though Ohh…I didn’t know that. Well with you as my motivation I’m definitely gonna do better now. How long have you been coding? Please do, i’m sure it would be super helpful to me..I’ve got your notification turned on so I’d know when you post it for sure. I’m sorry what’s brute force approach?
