My dear @fercaggiano recently pointed out the striking resemblance between my photograph "Birth of Spring" and Vincent van Gogh's painting "Almond Blossom." 

I was blown away! While I've always admired Van Gogh's portraits and landscapes, I somehow don't recall ever seeing this particular painting before—making the discovery even more surprising.
