Me too. One of lifes great pleasures. I need to pick up some logs. Don't like paying for them though as I used to get them for free when I worked in countryside management for years. I used to do livestock fencing and traditional hedge laying.

I burned for free for years because my neighbor cleared some land and he had the trees dropped in my yard, I bucked and split them all, now I’m back to paying for it, $575 for 2 cord, but the savings I’ve had in oil for the past few years have paid for it. And you’re right it’s the process, making kindling, stacking it up just right, the little bit of love and care to get it going and keep it going, I absolutely love it all

Took us a few days and many trips with the wheelbarrow but we get it done! They’re good to help for about 10 minutes then they’re off fuckin around somewhere else and after a half hour I hear fighting and I gotta stop πŸ˜‚
