*but* a mainstream appreciation of art and for creativity to go mainstream generally would make the world a better place I think.

Yes from that angle it make sense, and I agree! i just think that the incessant drive to make nfts accessible to 'the mainstream' is often more of a symptom of it's over accentuation and reliance on 'markets'. Don't get me wrong I am here selling nfts, and in fact for the last year it has become an important source of income but on the whole with the way things are moving it doesn't leave me without a certain dash of scepticism over the push to create bigger markets at the expense of art engaging in critical dialogue, or conceptual ideas that challenge the status of those markets.
