if a local coffee shop accepted usdc, eth, degen, etc on base i would go to that coffee shop every single time

not only that, bc they would be first i would prob bias towards them even after all the others started accepting it

is there a list anywhere of shops that accept onchain payment?

I guess it depends on country’s tax regulations. 
I know in France it would be pretty difficult. 
Not undoable but pretty difficult. 

Or it would need to be completely off the grid.

Because you would have to pay tax in local currency and the price of crypto keeps on moving so it would be a mess.
