Don’t know when you posted this but I’m glad I’m seeing it now. I avoid all things Pepe and have had some serious arguments about it on CT. It turns my stomach. I can’t stand it. And I’m glad I’m not the only one.

i was a redditor when it was a hotbed of antisemitic, violent, even genocidal pepe memes. Anyone who doubts the origins of pepe should research "Frenworld". The entire purpose of their coopting of pepe was so they could ridicule their critics and say "its just a meme" when they were clearly not innocent. People who dont know this dark history of Pepe are still propagating it, because the general public has been well informed of the history. Those who know and play innocent are not innocent. cc: @themuyideen.eth

Ohh my bad mate, I had know idea of the history behind Pepe and it was never my intention to ridicule you by saying “it’s just a meme”. I started using it because I liked the art style and thought it was funny. I agree with you that some who know the history and still pretend innocence are complicit in perpetuating the harm but a very large amount of people don’t
