why do we (society) obsess over and often hate tech billionaires but don’t bat an eye at music billionaires (taylor swift, jay Z), sports billionaires (magic johnson, lebron), or entertainment billionaires (george lucas,  tyler perry)?

Lots of good responses. I’ll add that given the consumer and entertainment dynamic, it’s easy to have a favorite artist, athlete team, etc. We choose them bc they reflect us in a certain way, so if we judge them too harshly, we also judge ourselves. ￼￼
