The founder of <You, only virtual> believes that we truly lose someone if we fail to keep their data. His customers, Jason and Melissa, face the risk of dying early. They work with an AI and their kids every day. They capture voices, dreams, and personalities. This creates avatars that will remain with their children after they are gone. However, dr Haly Peterson the director of Cornell University's research center on end-of-life care disagrees. She argues that thinking a virtual person solves grief is too simple. https://www.dw.com/en/life-after-death-thanks-to-ai/video-72099753

that's an interesting idea! and it might work to some extent but won't fully replace a person who's gone for example, it has good potential in text messages and voice calls on the other hand, it doesn't seem healthy to live with an avatar of a person after you lose them sometimes, it's better to let go

i do not think it suppose to be a full replacement rather a way to make the farewell less painfull on the other hand, do you think a women who want to marry a widower - do you think she may like to talk with the former wife avatar? no jealousy here, and a lot of useful info…. wdyt? 100 $degen
