Happy New Year! $OIL Update & Community Challenge #10 - Deadline Sun 1/5/25 at 11PM EST. ahhh... the realities of an attention economy that marks the price of a meme token to the dwindling attention of the few. I want to share a bit of the vision for the near future of /fcof and $OIL... and also ground our vision with reality. Our "Season of Giving Back" disguised as Community Challenges were in my eyes successful as we shared a bit of the wealth received from trading in the @base trenches through 2024. The focus of our first round of community challenges was to slowly build a story around $OIL through community contributions of art and lore. Before we explore what's in store for 2025 we're going to kick off with Community Challenge #10. We need names as it seems our time traveling robots have magically multiplied for 2025. I tried to both relate the words to the concept of "time travel" as the bots are time travelers and to convey how one is related to stillness and the other to adventure. So I went with toki and tabi which are Japanese. Both have short, unique and similar forms (which are also appropriate for twins). * ζ (γ¨γ) - tok-i - time (moment, occasion); evoking a sense of fleeting moments and precious time, often with a nostalgic or poetic undertone. * ζ (γγ³) - ta-bi - travel (journey): suggesting a grand adventure, a journey of self-discovery, and a break from routine.
