If you’re ever going to put a phone number on a social app, buy a prepaid sim (can be esim), put the phone number, enter the confirmation code, cancel the eSIM or if it’s physical shove it in a drawer.

Skype used to have an option to buy a US  number, and I used it for a bit, but then it got discontinued lmaoo

Yeah for real. VoIP is a great option too. But usually they send SMS confirmations and many VOIP apps don’t work with SMS sadly.
