I lived in Fairbanks Alaska for 3 years and had seen a few while there... That's one of the best I've seen! Such a great shot 📸

Thank you @degenveteran.eth! It’s Halibut Cove, Alaska - a private island near Homer where my family lives (when it’s not deep winter; winters are spent on Homer.) Honestly, if I’d met a nice guy—or a cat needing a mom—I’d probably be there still. 😩😏 I was licking the falling tears off my lips as the airplane taxied away.

Basically like the movie the proposal 😂 I met a few families when I was there that were like that. We do miss Alaska often even though it was never officially our home. I know one of the Alaskan Senators really well... I was hos combat medic almost 20 years ago 😅
