I think that Ram Dass wasn’t speaking metaphorically here. He meant it literally. There is no “other.” There’s just one thing wearing billions of masks, temporarily pretending to be separate people. But eventually, we all wake up and remember:

We were never separate. We were always One.

And once you taste that understanding, life feels profoundly different. ❤️

his name was Richard Alpert. but in Sanskrit  Ram Dass means Servant of the Divine he took this name after he took some LSD and moved to India for a bit
