You may not like those old versions of yourself but you have to love them. It was those versions that got you through your darkest nights and worst traumas. It was those versions that dragged you kicking and screaming to your current Self. Love them, embrace them, send your light backwards where you needed it the most.

How can you have an emotion about an abstraction? Let not your memory deceive you into believing that the you once past is the you present in the past. For the you present is a gust of smoke blowing in the wind, and the you past has long dissipated into the thin air.
