I was excited when the changes were announced.  I fully expected hitches - Farcaster is ultimately a sandbox environment after all.  But I'm super geeked about the possibilities for growing and joining all sorts of communities.

Yes.  The best groups have some sort of screening criteria, even if just to keep out spam.  But curated groups can do some AMAZING things that general groups can really manage.

funny how by /excluding/ people we make /including/ them a lot more special and interesting.

weirdly, this is probably a change better done later, rather than at launch. going from more to less open makes bootstrapping those communities easier, imo. Now we're sculpting them.
