does stoicism appeal to you as a woman? 

i often see men posting about it or engaging with it more than women, but have never taken the time (yet) to reflect on why that may be.

Kinda... there's some merit to it.  But like all of Western philosophy, it's very centered on the male experience, and usually particularly the wealthy enough to sit around and think all day male experience.

I say this as someone who is literally going to school to finish my bachelor's in philosophy now.  All my papers in my Early Modern Philosophy class in winter semester boiled down to, "Yeah, his epistemology is great, but he cribbed his work from X woman, and then completely ignored his own standards when trying to prove his particular version of "god" exists."
