With channels changing to a community model, we should really let users onboard directly to these channels. 

If I onboard a user to /success and subsequently Warpcast, use the subscription payment to the channel as a signal to subsidize initial storage costs.

If I recall correctly, @dwr.eth has said that is either in the works, or at least planned.

It absolutely makes sense to go that direction.  Easy way to import existing communities to the app, and get people onboarded more quickly with supportive groups.
