As part of my quest to get in better shape as I hit middle age, I bought myself a bike May 11th. May 17th, I got hit by a truck while riding that bike. Bike is fine. It's been sitting in a friend's garage until I was ready to get it. Which turned out to be today. I won't be able to start off with the 17 mile rides I did the day before my accident, it'll be going up and down my small street back and forth for a few days working back up to it But I rode my bike today! 4 months after breaking my leg! Walking is still hard, and need to improve the flexibility of that leg to make biking really smooth, but I'm so excited!
