I submitted a Feature Request to add support for ENS name resolution on L2 chains.

How many votes do we need to have before getting into consideration phase? :) We're at 37 votes after 24 hours and super excited. This should be a fairly easy and yet very significant little upgrade. Thanks.

There's not a set number of votes that are required, but the more the merrier! The product team continuously reviews submitted feature requests.

Our feature request proposes resolving ENS names on L1 regardless of what EVM-compatible chain the user is connected to. I saw this with other wallets and wondered why not in MetaMask as well. And it would be a relatively quick fix. Resolution on other L2s is something else that’s prob far into the future.

You can, but fwiw the idea of resolving ENS names on L2s is something we have been actively looking into, but no real news at this time. Can't promise you'll get movement if you post to github.
