taken a few weeks ago at the foot of the second highest peak in the Olympics, Mount Deception (also featuring my favorite color)

stunning alpine with well maintained trails as it's technically in the National Park. and with a 1 hour potholed forest road approach + 10 miles of hiking you get it all to yourself

it's a committing day but worth it! also there are campsites along the way, but especially before and at Royal Lake if you want to do multi-day (would recommend that, the morning light should be stunning)
