Why is web3 so tribal?

Maybe because the “out group” & the “in group” dynamics. People who were locked out of participating (in markets, new things, investments) found their “in groups”, and some tied their identities to those. Perhaps they found some things akin to “meaning”, as well as vested interests in groups success.
