+1 on avoiding the causeways between Miami Beach and mainland Miami during Art Basel. Pick one and stay there a while. Expect to be stuck in traffic for >2 hours if you choose to travel across during peak hours (most hours during Miami Art Week).

Best food spots: Versailles, La Carreta, Joe’s Stone Crab
