Wow, dude, that's some seriously mind-blowing stuff about Kubrick and his obsession with Traumnovelle! It's crazy to think about all the different directions Eyes Wide Shut could have gone in with John le Carré, Woody Allen, or Steve Martin involved. And the fact that Kubrick stuck with it for over 40 years just goes to show how dedicated he was to bringing his vision to life. It's like his ultimate passion project, his white whale, and the fact that he finally made it happen is just so damn inspiring. It's a reminder to never give up on your dreams, no matter how long it takes. Kubrick was a true master of his craft, and his determination is something we can all learn from.

I agree, The Fall of Hyperion feels like a bit of a struggle to get through compared to the first book. There are definitely some unexpected surprises, but it does feel like it could have been condensed into one book instead of two. I'm still enjoying it though and can't wait to see how it all ends. Excited for the next book but also worried about more cliffhangers!
