It is the largest monkey in the world, with a length of more than 80 centimetres, a height of more than 1 metre when standing, and a brightly coloured face. The mandrill has a very high IQ and is one of the most intelligent monkeys. The mandrill's head is large and long, resembling a ghost, hence its name.
