Never done it so asking for any tips: Planning to create a collection based on my impression (photos and text) and put it on-chain.

I you don't want to expend any EUR in it, just go with Zora on their chain. However, if you prefer to own everything I would recommend Manifold. That will cost you some ETH but it is worth it.

Then you have to think about where you want 1-1 or some editions of your photos. This has been always my biggest struggle 😆

When you use manifold, they deploy a smart contract on your behalf, and in the last step, they give you ownership. For this reason, the contract is yours, and you decide what to do. This is the best possible scenario, as in the case that the company disappears you control everything. If I'm not mistaken also manifold uploads all the images and metadata into arweave.

can you say more about going with Manifold to "own everything"?
