It's incredible how much tiktok is influencing music culture. ex: Increasing average song tempo, shortening song & set lengths. I think one underappreciated thing is it might be making audiences more open minded since they're used to watching whatever the algo serves up.

I think they hear music, but they don't listen to music. Subtle, but important.

Yea it does seem more difficult for musicians to build audiences and deeply connect with them than in the past, since it turns everyone into a “content” creator.
