I would love to know more about the impact of being public about your fees for everyone. I love the approach as probably only people willing to pay your fee will be the ones that contact you, avoiding all the gamers

for me there's no other way, one of the reasons I struggled with "classic" freelancing is that there's always a shady element about it - designers pad the estimates and clients doubt them - which is not there in subscriptions
