This blog explains why writting small docs is useful: https://bufferbuffer.com/why-writing-small-docs-is-a-game-changer/ I would also add that writing it as a step-by-step tutorial, it helps in two extra ways: - you know that if you follow them you will end up with the same result - it is replicable At the end, it becomes a scientific recipe to replicate always the same outcome. So yes, keep them short, and make them actionable.
