Are we using the email analogy because it is easier to understand than the HTTP protocol? I think http can be a better analogy because you can see what others have built using it.

The issue is that you've SMTP for sending and POP3 and IMAP for reading. But yes, both work well.

I think email/SMTP provides a better mental model to understand Farcaster vs web/HTTP, because it's around messages. Plus email is the OG internet application, with SMTP predating HTTP by 10 years or so. :-)
