I like the new channel changes. 

I think the reduction of noise has make them more interesting, which brings into the table when a channel hits it's maximus capacity in terms of members so it needs to be split into another channel (obviously up to channel owners).

This probably will make sub-channels or sub culture groups more interesting as with any movement there are always minor details that are different and will enrich the culture around the channel.
