This was around the time that my family got our first Windows OS machine, because my dad bought a chess game for our old IBM 386, opened it to install it, it would not work, and the store would not take it back.  My dad was pissed, so he got a computer to run the $50 chess game he could not return

he did.  If I bring this up topic even today, he still gets mad, but while he was not a computer geek, he knew computers would be important to know, and he was right

And the rest is history 🙃

I remember very clearly the first time i went online. Because my dad got really serious, and said, “I need to show you something very important.” He had me sit down at the computer, and go to the website of the Queen of England 🤣🤣🤣
