imo a @hypersub integration for accountability clubs (like @phil's below, @markfishman's /firstdraft) could make channels more like communities. add "join challenge" button to the channel (similar to "pay" button on profile) that subscribes you to the hypersub; private gated groupchat but public content in channel.

Common shared values and intent are the jam! FWIW - While the āplay to engageā model does make sense - where it gains traction is the engagement itself. Iāve raised my hand to join this community as an avid reader and @ted really appreciate you opening up the aperture on this convo. Where growth and traction could happen: - does this community keep me accountable? - do I participate (and well)? - are the members of a quality I want to engage with? - do I leave with meaningful growth? ā¦This is something I think about in DAO evolution but applies to extracurricular activities as well.
