admire how @emmabwaldron (LA crypto), @minh (Dine + Define), and @humpty.eth(DAO LA) have built communities in LA — and would love for this LA corner of farcaster to adopt my favorite aspects of theirs. what would you want from an LA channel? asking some LA ppl: @ace @jmj @trish @sher @kalelabs @joetoledano @volca

As someone moving from out of town, it'd be awesome to have a place to ask q's like 'what is the best x in y location)'. So sort of accessing local knowledge and tips. Also finding new events/meetups would be great and also finding folks for ad-hoc meetups would be cool too

The dilemma to me is that La is so vast and separated into so many neighborhoods. I feel like building a meaningful community includes circulating events across neighborhoods and cross-pollinating. But that requires quite a concerted effort.

Would love to support other Farcasters doing things/building in LA. Sometimes things are missed in the main feed so highlighting casts would be helpful to keep in touch with what’s happening. Also agree with @dylsteck.eth that a regular get together would be nice.

it would be cool if there was a somewhat regular cadence for LACaster meetups like there is for some of the other communities you listed i don't think it needs to be anything crazy but it would be great to find other ways to connect with other LACasters!

LA is influencers and content. I'd love to see a channel that enables content creators to make money via NFTs. Both from a builder's perspective and content creator's perspective. Builder/Influencer synergy. https://cointelegraph.com/news/justin-bieber-hit-track-becomes-nft

I would want to know when crypto events are happening around the city, meetups and when visitors are in LA. I guess this may go under meetups, but a brainstorm about crypto amongst people in LA.
