admire how @emmabwaldron (LA crypto), @minh (Dine + Define), and @humpty.eth(DAO LA) have built communities in LA — and would love for this LA corner of farcaster to adopt my favorite aspects of theirs. what would you want from an LA channel? asking some LA ppl: @ace @jmj @trish @sher @kalelabs @joetoledano @volca

The dilemma to me is that La is so vast and separated into so many neighborhoods. I feel like building a meaningful community includes circulating events across neighborhoods and cross-pollinating. But that requires quite a concerted effort.

you’re so right. i’m always shocked how easy it is to run into so many people in NYC and bounce around neighborhoods, whereas it takes A LOT of activation energy to leave my west side bubble (ashamed to admit it).
