this opinion would be more concerning if it weren't from a twitter ai grifter who spent $1m on a marketing campaign for his useless hardware device that was dead on arrival

jules is what I consider the leading gen Z voice on the new internet and social platforms, has a great pulse on consumer tech and asks valid questions. bums me out that’s her impression of crypto.

not sure who she is but unsurprising. i think they will all turn (and not enjoy the process of doing so) within a couple decades. to be fair it looks so scammy from the outside, and i am not religious but those pump.fun livestreams legit looked like the work of the devil avi on the other hand is a lowlife grifter to me and could not care less about a single word he has to say

she’s making a commentary on the culture of crypto, not the technology itself. everybody’s going to be using it in a couple of decades, but hopefully the culture of crypto will also turn by then. i don’t care for Avi either but there’s truth in what he’s saying whether you like him or not.

i agree, culture gets worse every cycle imo because the incentives just promote rugging and doing crazy things for money because of permissionlessness it's also a framing issue where the crypto "culture" you see is primarily the CT trenches. which also is weird because in terms of mindshare the most influential people on CT don't really promote that. they are often founders who have been in crypto for a long time. so i'm honestly not sure why the perception is so bad and where these people are viewing this culture...if they only follow like the big accounts they wouldn't be seeing this much compared to talking about decentralization, scaling, etc. maybe twitter algo?
