re: upcoming potential TikTok ban, rednote is a flash in the pan. creators will end up where viewers and $$ are: meta and YT. they’ll want platforms that are deep in western markets; rednote hasn’t invested at all in the US (changing UI to english doesn’t matter). this played out in 2020 with india’s ban.

tiktok. they had 200m users on it — the second most of any country, only behind china.
