Consumers do care about branding, especially as a top-of-funnel driver for awareness. Lens had a subpar product and subpar community, which is why people didn't stay nor care about it.

correction: there are some AMAZING people and artists in the Lens community and the team has really brilliant woman, but they also had to deal with spam / bots since launching which was overwhelming.
