Our top priority is 100% permissionless protocol and we pushing to get there as soon as possible. At that point, new users can start with Jam or any app. Agree we can improve the farcaster.xyz homepage to be more about discovery.

That would be great too! But this is also a very clique community that for a large part takes its lead from the FC team. As evidence, nearly every trending / popular cast was created or boosted by Dan. Facts. The protocol should promote all the apps in the ecosystem and not play favorites

I was suggesting a time tested marketing strategy that would convince me personally to use Jam, not what the FC team should or shouldn’t do. FWIW your ongoing public callouts of the FC team don’t come across as super collaborative or good faith, and it makes me want to use Jam less as a result 😔

fwiw there are app developers who toil over building on the protocol and it's incredibly frustrating to not get proactive support from the protocol team vs. constant promoting of the home-team's app this isn't the warpcast app and api's, it's a protocol/ecosystem point to a recently... longcast.jam.so/jjn4qa

go for it, but you’ll lose me as a user as a result :) i understand how tough it is to build a product (most people here do) and think you’ve built a good one. removing the emotions from the goal, is it really the best use of your energy to complain publicly and weaken relationships in order to acquire more users?
