Does anyone here have any experience taking Ozempic? I wonder what people think of Ozempic? Is it net good or net bad for society?

net good for society, and i will die on this hill. what other product / drug has such demonstrable power to positively influence human behavior?

consuming less bad food, drinking less alcohol, choosing to exercise more, feeling happier and healthier and more confident — which ultimately encourages one to face more challenging situations or to venture outside of the comfort zone

wait, how would it positively influence human behavior..?

positive second order effects = saved healthcare costs, healthier people and longer lifespans (prevent type 2 diabetes, brain and heart diseases), shift from body positivity to health positivity

negative = as you state, we don’t know long term effects of GLP1s yet; reliance or resistance to a lifelong drug; costs

It’s not obvious to me because I don’t know if it will have other effects that we are not seeing right now in society
