Why was it so much money? I’m assuming it’s because there was some competition for the 3 letter name? What benefits other than the obvious do you see it providing or have been expressed to you? (I can’t imagine many - but that doesn’t mean there aren’t plenty!)

I'm curious what the `.base` is useful for. Couldn't you get just a regular ENS name, like `ted.eth`? After all, Base uses the same address format as Ethereum, doesn't it?
