What's something you're frustrated with re: Farcaster?

That by default, notifications spam you with memecoin tickers and trending coins like some casino. Makes it impossible to recommend to normy friends.

fwiw, some of my non-crypto friends called it tacky and tasteless and too casino-y for what they’re looking for in a social app experience so i’m coming at it from a place of understanding

i have a few normie friends who made accounts but didn't feel comfortable here, but still check in like a couple times a year when i link to something, could ask if any of them would be up to chat with you?

I have not, tbh FC has already felt a bit crypto heavy to try even before the tickers. I know it's a bit of a chicken/egg problem, and I think it makes sense to nail the niche first, but the default ticker notifs felt like the niche would come at the cost of the rest
