kind of a bummer to see farcaster posts about follower count

'wow vitalik only has x followers' 'i have more followers than vitalik' 'it sucks to have so many followers on twitter and only x followers here'

may simply be a dynamic of this type of network, but i'd love to leave follower counts behind in web 2.0

agree. why does follower count matter if you influence or engage with none of them?

I think % engagement should be the North Star metric. seems like @betashop.eth agrees.

challenge is how to translate to a profile: rankings, % quartiles, badges like ‘connector’ or ‘observer’ based on engagement/activity? @ivy thoughts?

i LOVE meaningful profile info like “this person is also followed by…” 

i just don’t think follower count is a valuable metric in any way
