potentially hot take (and i'm guilty of this too, i've done it, and now i will try to no longer do it): the more i see "answer my generic question and i'll tip you in degen" the more it feels like "i'll pay you to be my friend" energy

it is the transactional energy that makes it hard to distinguish authentic vs superficial that gets under my skin the most you're right, though. if people want to growth hack this way, that is their decision and they can see what happens to their community if/when $degen price goes down

kinda seems like the transactional nature of the platform is the "big experiment" that we're all here for in the first place tho tbqh, sure it'd be low signal in any other context, but here it seems like "degen tip for reacts" is testing the waters of the new medium , maybe it winds up normalized and even valued, idk
