Hearing so much about WhatNot right now. Seems like 2025 will be a big comeback for independent e-commerce via livestream.

did a deep dive on bytedance’s livestream content platform (in China) last year and they’ve leaned so heavily into it are you just seeing whatnot everywhere or what spurred this?

I follow whatnot pretty closely, and I wouldn't be surprised if the increase in attention they're getting is because of the collectibles market as a whole doing really well right now. They also have increased competition from Fanatics Live but the two seem to be growing the market more than fighting over it
