once at my lowest, someone i loved a lot said about me

"who would have thought somebody that's like so happy and cheery on the outside and so sweet could have such a fucked up constitution?"

and you know what

i still think about it

and it makes me really grateful for the friends i'm with and where we are today

These cuts are the worst but the most motivating 

When I was 20 a friend was home from college and asked, “what restaurant are you working at now?” 

I quit being a waiter within the month and moved SF

I hope they’ve come to regret saying it.
