Slack was founded in 2013 as a messaging service for the workplace — when the majority of the workforce was IRL. Outside of Slack Connect and Huddles, what unique features have they shipped since the workforce shifted to URL? Slack is misused more frequently than it is used correctly... and imo Slack is to blame.

it is designed to be a communications tool, not a task management or productivity tool which is where most of the misuse is rooted. on communications specifically: the lack of consistency across all users, specifically when to use DMs, @-mentioned, and messaging a channel like a group chat instead of using threads.
