i tried the Humane pin last night i respect anyone with a big crazy idea who makes it happen, but unfortunately it really is as bad as everyone said i don’t know when the hell i would ever use it, especially not in group settings or in public or even in an office. i say this as someone who bought the Vision Pro

I remember watching their launch and wondering who they were making the product for. I knew immediately it would fail. Could be the worst highly funded product launch I have ever seen. No one wants to talk into a pin.

same, I've tried the FOSS devkit ( https://github.com/BasedHardware/omi) around family, and this is too uncanny valley to them. ngl, even I'm second-guessing the attack surface.

I was in a group with people I didn't know and a stranger had one on. Maybe its just me, but it screamed "look at me." She kept touching it and people would ask about it and she would light up and start talking about it... I would totally own it if I was jealous that she had one and I didn't... but it genuinely looked dumb and made me not want one even more.
