a reminder that cycles take a long time: 07 = Netflix starts streaming leftover content from the Titans 07 - 11 = the Titans subsidize growth of Netflix's streaming audience by pretty much gifting shows and tv the next day 11 = Armed with a sizable audience and brand rec, Netflix starts filmmaking on its own to enable boosters, while Titans continue to stupidly fuel its audience growth + the added twist that captures everyone's attention: the binge 11 - 16/17/18 = Titans slowly make M&A, test and push out streaming services out trying to catch up to Netflix July 2022 Netflix, 15 years later (25 yrs after founding), starts its run to make it the largest Titan by all metrics (Apple & Amazon don't count) As of writing today: Paramount - $7.6B [$24B in 07] Warner Bros Discovery - $29B [$37B in 07] Comcast - $152B (too messy to determine) Disney - $205B [$70B in 07] π Netflix - $398B [$1.1B in 07] Warpcast is in yr 3 Everyone on here is strapped to a rocket
