I did. The only way to do so is to book a ryokan (Japanese hotel) that’s next to the monkeys. Monkeys go there at night and morning to warm up and you can swim/soak together. I have some videos 😏

And I understand why he did that (looking away) as I saw in another video that you aren't supposed to look them in the eye. That makes sense as they will take that as an aggressive stance and definitely you don't want a macaque male attacking you. Not sure if the females are less aggressive.
