California will spend 9 trillion dollars, 20 years, and enormous amounts of drama and still have slower trains than Spain. But sure make fun of siestas and lazy Europeans and so on. It's fascinating to see so much criticism of European efficiency when Spain’s trains run faster and more reliably than California’s proposed lines. Maybe it's time to take a page from their book. Frenzied workdays and traffic jams don’t necessarily equate to progress. Time to rethink our approach!
