Every business that can be done without workers (or with extremely limited workforce) especially as we enter the age of rapid automation, should be a consumer cooperative. Discuss.

Who has the best vision of consumer cooperatives? I know a lot about corporate personhood (the contrived basis of capitalist investor cooperatives). I also know about owner cooperatives with distributed equity. That’s a model used for some residential buildings and other businesses. I’m familiar with a lot of collectivist theories but there’s plenty more I can learn about consumer cooperatives specifically.

I think credit unions are a good framework for consumer cooperatives. Of course there are others with varying levels of success, but credit unions have endured the most.
